More Information About the Town of Kailua Beach
Welcome
to Kailua! Kailua is a residential beach community on
the Windward side of Oahu.
Kailua
is approximately a 20-25 minute drive from Honolulu and
Waikiki, and approximately a 30 minute drive from the
Honolulu International Airport. Lush green scenery and
gentle trade winds greet you as you enter the Windward
side via the Pali Highway #61, the H-3 Freeway, or the
coastal Kalanianaole Highway #72.
Kailua is known for its famed Kailua Beach and Bay, miles
of powder white sand and gentle waves. Kailua Beach is
great for swimming, sunning, walking, playing in the sand,
windsurfing, and kayaking. Kailua town is just a few blocks
away and has many shops and restaurants to visit after
a day at the beach.
